Here I tried to make emphasis of the Saguaro. I played around with the camera and found a filter that cancels all colors (or try at least) except green, a great tool to emphasize the Saguaro more than anything. In order to make these more interesting, I took pictures of bushes with the Saguaro in the background. Since the pictures are in black and white except for the pictures, it seems that the Saguaro is the only one in the area.
The second element I chose was texture. Saguaros are perfect to take close-ups of their needles. I played with different focus points on the needles, making them looks as if they are coming out at you, almost 3D. I also played around with the lighting of the sun, placing it behind the Saguaro and illuminating all the needles. However, they were not as appealing to the e
